Frequently asked questions
What size inverter do I need?
Add up everything that runs at the same time, then add 25–30% headroom for motor start-up surges. Most homes that back up essentials plus the kettle and microwave need 5–6kW. Larger homes, or homes running pumps or air-con, need 8–10kW. Farms and businesses need 12kW or more, or three-phase.
Can an inverter run my geyser and stove?
Usually not. Big heating loads like the geyser, stove, oven and tumble dryer would need a far larger system. They're normally left on Eskom or a separate circuit.
Which battery works with these inverters?
All the inverters in this range are 48V and pair with our 51.2V lithium batteries. You can add more batteries later.
Do you help choose and support the system?
Yes. We've supplied solar power, AC and DC water pumps and solar water heating since 2007. Our own South African technical team gives advice, repairs and support. Send us a list of what you want to run, and we'll recommend a size.
