Retrofit Manifold Systems
Convert your existing electrical geyser to solar with this luxurious high-pressure option.
The retrofit manifold system consists of the following items:
- A high pressure manifold (header)
- Vacuum tubes for high pressure water systems
- Mounting frame
- Air release valve
- 10W solar panel
- 12V re-circulation pump
The system can be connected to your existing electrical geyser. Water is automatically circulated during the day from the existing geyser to the solar collector and back to the geyser.
Use the following guide to match the manifold kit with your existing geyser size:
- 100L Existing Geyser -> 10 or 12 Tube Manifold
- 150L Existing Geyser -> 16 or 18 Tube Manifold
- 200L Existing Geyser -> 24 Tube Manifold

Frequently asked questions
Does a solar geyser work during load shedding?
Yes. The vacuum tubes heat the water with sunlight, so it doesn't need electricity on sunny days. A low-wattage backup element covers cloudy spells.
What size solar geyser do I need?
Allow about 50 litres of hot water per person per day. That works out to 100L for one or two people, 150L for three, and 200L for four or five.
Can I convert my existing electric geyser to solar?
Yes. A retrofit manifold kit fits on your existing geyser without replacing the tank. Our kits come in sizes from 10 to 24 tubes.
Low pressure or high pressure?
Low-pressure geysers are gravity-fed, simple and affordable, and suit farms, holiday homes and low-pressure plumbing. High-pressure systems give mains-pressure showers. A retrofit kit is the most cost-effective way to get solar on a high-pressure geyser.
Solar geyser or heat pump?
If your roof gets good sun, a solar geyser has the lowest running cost and works during load shedding. If your roof is shaded, a heat pump is better, but it still needs electricity.
